Premier League 20/21 Game Week 2 (Predictions)

(1) Everton vs. West Brom

Everton had a fantastic result last week when they had an away win over Spurs 1-0. Not only did they secure the three points, but it was also an impressive performance. West Brom struggled against a strong Leicester team.

Everton 2 West Brom 0 Home Win

(2) Leeds United vs. Fulham

Leeds impressed against the champions while Fulham were poor against the Arsenal. Although these teams know each other well from there time in the championship, it seems that Leeds are better suited to adapt to the Premier League and are likely to get their first three points in this game.

Leeds 2 Fulham 1 Home Win

(3) Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace

I expect Palace to struggle this year, but they made a very good start with a win against Southampton last week. They have a tough trip to Old Trafford, as many people are predicting that Utd will make big steps this year. I’m not convinced that Utd have fully turned the corner yet, and I think this is the type of game that could be a banana skin. However, I expect penalties for the home side, which should be enough to secure the win.

Manchester United 3 Crystal Palace 1 Home Win

(4) Arsenal vs. West Ham

Arsenal were excellent in game one while West Ham were rubbish. Arteta has already made a noticeable difference to the Gunners, and they are looking like a real team. West Ham looks like an unhappy squad. They seem miserable, and I expect more misery this weekend.

Arsenal 4 West Ham 0 Home Win

(5) Southampton vs. Tottenham

Two good sides that are difficult to play against yet but lost last week. I thought Jose would work his magic in his first full season, expecting a top 4 finish from Spurs. If he loses this game, then he will start looking like yesterday’s man. The Saints manager has his team playing an effective brand of football. They started slowly last year, and a defeat this weekend would point to another slow start this year. It will be a close call, but Spurs to get the narrow win.

Southampton 1 Spurs 2 Away Win

(6) Newcastle United vs. Brighton

Tricky one. Newcastle were good against West Ham, and they have made a couple of good signings while Brighton put up a good show until they ran out of steam. I think the Toon will see the first home win of the season.

Newcastle 2 Brighton 0 Home Win

(7) Chelsea vs. Liverpool

It seems like Lampard has a bee in his bonnet with Klopp or with Liverpool in general, which means Chelsea will be up for It. Their difficulty is they are up against the champions, and while they gave Liverpool a difficult game in the Super-Cup, they are trying to build a new team that can take time. They had a good win last week. Liverpool have a tough start to the season, and the victory over Leeds last week was important and well deserved despite what some of the pundits have said. Except Werner to score and Liverpool to win.

Chelsea 1 Liverpool 4 Away Win

(8) Leicester City vs. Burnley

Burnley have established themselves as a Premier League team, but Leicester have more quality footballers and a better manager. A hard-fought victory for the home team.

Leicester City 1 Burnley 0 Home Win

(9) Aston Villa vs. Sheffield United

Villa are currently ninth in the table as they haven’t played yet. This will be their highest position this year. Utd are a decent but lacking in goals – they are looking for Brewster from Liverpool. A Draw.

Aston Villa 1 Sheffield United 1 Draw.

(10) Wolverhampton vs. Manchester City

Wolves looked good last week while beating Sheffield United. They are serious contenders for the top 6 and possibly the top 4. City are one of the great teams of all time. A lot depends on their motivation and hunger. This will be a battle.

Wolves 2 City 2 Draw

Home 6

Away 2

Draw 2
